Electrical accessories for better and safer industries

Electricity has been proved to be a boon for both industrial and domestic purposes. Almost every industry in the world depends on electricity for its operations and processes. Without the proper supply of electricity, it is impossible for them to work regularly and properly. Although electricity is a very useful commodity, it can also be very dangerous if ignored. Especially in industries, where the voltage of electricity used is very high, it is very important to take care of safety of the electrical network or it can lead to heavy accidents.

In order to keep the electrical appliances and network safe, there are different electrical accessories used in industries that keep the electrical systems working properly and here are some of them. 

 

Insulators

The main job of insulators is to prevent any direct contact of any two naked electricity carrying conductors. The insulators are made from materials that restrict the passage of electricity through them. They are usually used in electric poles, transformers, etc. The insulators are normally made from glass and composite polymers. At some places, even insulators made of ceramics are also used.

Electric fuse

The electric fuses are used for breaking an electrical circuit whenever the value of current goes beyond the prescribed value. This is done to protect short circuit in any industrial machinery and appliances. The electrical fuses are made from high resistance materials, which have very low melting point. When an electric current through a circuit crosses a predetermined value, the fuse automatically heats up and melts breaking the circuit.

Cable jointing kits

Cable jointing kits are the tools that are used for sealing and covering of cable joints in any electrical circuit. When there is a joint introduced between two wires, there is a very high strain that is exerted in the joint, which can cause the joint to be loose or break. The cable jointing kits manufacturers design and provide products that can help in the elimination of excess of strain from the joints. Power surge arresters

Fluctuations in the electrical supply can cause severe damage to the electrical appliances, and hence power surge arresters are used for saving the appliances from any type of fluctuation in the power supply. The power surge arresters absorb any type of fluctuation and send it to earth.
